Privacy policy
ChannelZap ("we") is a free newsletter read worldwide. This policy explains what we collect and why. Questions: hello@channelzap.com.
What we collect
- Your email address, when you subscribe, and the language edition you signed up from, so we send you the right one.
- Email engagement data (opens and clicks), collected by our email provider so we can tell which picks are useful.
- Basic site analytics, aggregated and without advertising cookies (for example, Cloudflare Web Analytics).
- Anything you choose to send us by email (channel tips, Collab Board posts, directory applications).
Who processes it
- Kit stores the subscriber list and sends the newsletter.
- Resend may send transactional emails such as welcome messages.
- Cloudflare hosts the website and routes email.
- YouTube serves the video thumbnails shown on this site and the videos we link to; Google's privacy policy applies on YouTube.
- Translation services (DeepL or Google Cloud Translation) receive issue text only, never subscriber data.
What we don't do
We don't sell or rent your personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Your choices
Unsubscribe from any email with one click. You can ask us to see, correct or delete your data by emailing hello@channelzap.com. Many places give you these rights by law (for example the EU, UK and Spain under GDPR, and California under CCPA/CPRA); we honor them for everyone, wherever you live. Data may be processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate.
Age
You must be 16 or older to subscribe. ChannelZap is written for adults and parents; we don't knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and note it in the next issue.
