Frequently asked questions
What is ChannelZap?
ChannelZap is a free weekly email newsletter and website, a TV guide for YouTube. Every Friday it recommends channels worth watching from around the world and gives creators practical guides on growing, monetizing and going international.
How much does it cost?
Nothing. ChannelZap is free and supported by clearly labeled sponsors and affiliate links.
Which languages is it in?
6 languages: English · Español · 日本語 · 中文(繁體) · हिंदी · 한국어, with more planned. Translations are AI-assisted and reviewed. If you spot an awkward phrase, tell us.
When does it come out?
Every Friday morning. Each language edition is timed to arrive around 7–8 am local time in its main markets.
How do you choose channels?
We check every channel on its public YouTube page (country, language, recent uploads, subscriber count) and score it for watchability, originality, momentum, global appeal and trust. We show subscriber counts as bands, like 1–10K, with the date we checked.
What is the Under-10K spotlight?
Each week we feature a channel with fewer than 10,000 subscribers that's active, original and well made. Mainstream media rarely covers small creators. We do it every week.
What is the Parent-Approved Seal?
An editorial badge for kids' channels that pass our written 10-point checklist, including at least 10 videos watched by a person. It's our opinion, not a legal certification, and it's never sold. Until a review is finished we label a pick 'Seal review pending'.
Can my channel be featured?
Yes, and it's always free. Email hello@channelzap.com with your channel link, country, language(s) and niche. We never charge for editorial features.
Is ChannelZap part of YouTube?
No. ChannelZap is independent and not affiliated with YouTube or Google.
Who publishes ChannelZap? (media and business inquiries)
ChannelZap is published by MonroeMedia916, an independent online media company. For media, press, partnership or business inquiries, email hello@channelzap.com.
